Teenage prostitution eclipses Sinamusanga

Six teenagers and school dropouts calling themselves “the Joina City” in Sinamunsanga dropped off school sometime this year and are engaging in the world’s oldest profession of prostitution for a living whilst wrecking havoc in a community reported to be already faced with unprecedented deaths due to suspected HIV related diseases.

Min of Info and Publicity applauds Basilwizi

Basilwizi Trust is a non-governmental organisation complementing the efforts of Ministry of Information by training 14 trainer citizen journalists. The 14 are grooming other citizen journalists in all wards of Binga. These will help disseminate information on Binga by sending stories to the mainstream media. Basilwizi is going to supply the CJs with air time.


Clean Water receives clean water

Lubu community gathered at Clean Water (village) on the 14th of November celebrating the official opening of the reservoir for taped water constructed Catholic Development Commission (CADEC) now known as Caritas, coordinated by Mr Siakwenga, which supplies the traditionally dry community whose people used to walk down hill for about 6-7 km to fetch water.
